Director

The Mingary Counselling Service operates under the leadership of Dr Lynette Kramer, Counselling and Clinical Psychologist.

Lynette is registered as a psychologist and supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (Colleges of Counselling and Clinical Psychologists).

Assistant Director

Ms Michelle Doolan is a Counselling Psychologist and Family Therapist. She is registered as a psychologist and supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Michelle is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (College of Counselling Psychologists) and a clinical member of the Victorian Association of Family Therapists (VAFT).

Counsellors

Mingary counsellors are post-graduate psychology students who are completing supervised placements as part of one of the following educational programs at the Cairnmillar Institute:

• The Internship Program for provisional psychologists. These graduates are completing their fifth or sixth year of professional training in order to gain full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia;
• The Master of Psychotherapy program; and
• The Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) program.

Supervision

All counsellors attend ongoing training and clinical supervision with staff from the Cairnmillar Institute. As part of their training, the counsellors meet weekly to discuss their work with their supervisors who are all registered psychologists.

Our professional administrative staff will manage your enquiries in a confidential and sensitive manner. They will be happy to address any concerns and explain all aspects of the low cost counselling service to you.
